What quartz grades are suitable for semiconductor diffusion processes?

For diffusion and oxidation processes above 1100°C, we recommend Natural Fused Quartz (GE-124 equivalent) for standard applications, or Synthetic Fused Silica (Suprasil equivalent) for ultra-critical processes requiring <50 ppb total metallic impurities.

What is the difference between fused quartz and synthetic fused silica?

Natural fused quartz is made from crystalline quartz rock and contains trace impurities (typically 99.99% SiO₂). Synthetic fused silica is manufactured from high-purity silicon compounds (SiCl₄) achieving >99.9999% SiO₂ purity. Synthetic grades are preferred for the most demanding semiconductor applications.

What dimensional tolerances can you achieve?

Our standard CNC grinding tolerance is ±0.05 mm for most features, with ±0.01 mm achievable for precision-critical dimensions. Surface roughness Ra < 0.4 μm is standard; optical-grade polishing achieves Ra < 0.05 μm.

Do you provide material certificates?

Yes. We provide mill certificates for all raw materials, including XRF/ICP-OES analysis reports. Full material traceability from raw stock to finished component is available for semiconductor customers.

Can you fabricate custom shapes from customer drawings?

Absolutely. Drawing-based custom fabrication is a core service. We accept DXF, DWG, STEP, IGES, and PDF formats. Reverse engineering from samples is also supported.

What is your typical lead time?

Standard catalog items: 1–2 weeks. Custom machined parts: 2–4 weeks depending on complexity. Rush orders are evaluated case-by-case. Contact us with your requirements for a precise schedule.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes. We export to semiconductor manufacturers in Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Europe, and North America. All exports include proper customs documentation and export compliance for relevant product categories.

What cleaning standards do your components meet?

Components are cleaned in our ISO Class 7 cleanroom using ultrasonic cleaning, DI water rinsing, and IPA wipe-down before vacuum packaging. Particle counts and cleanliness certificates are available for semiconductor-grade components.
